SHEETS IN RESPECT OF THE CANDIDATES APPEARED
FOR PEN/PAPER BASED EXAMINATION AND QUESTIONS
WITH RESPONSES MARKED IN RESPECT OF THE
CANDIDATES APPEARED FOR COMPUTER BASED
EXAMINATION
All the candidates appeared in pen and paper based examination of JEE (Main) – 2013
Paper 1 held on 07/04/2013 are informed that the scanned images of OMR answer sheets of
the candidates and their recorded responses have been uploaded on the websites
www.cbse.nic.in and www.jeemain.nic.in from 30/04/2013 to 02/05/2013. The candidates
who appeared for this examination are allowed to challenge the recorded responses if these
differ from the one they had marked on the OMR sheet.
Such challenges may be submitted online only latest by 12.00 Midnight on 02/05/2013.
The challenges submitted by post or in person will not be accepted. The prescribed fee of Rs.
500/- per recorded response challenged may be submitted through bank draft in favour of
Secretary CBSE payable at Delhi, in person at any of the CBSE Regional Office or may be
submitted at JEE (Main) Unit,Plot No. 482, F.I.E., Patparganj Industrial Area, Delhi 92 either
in person or by Speed Post only on or before 4th May 2013 up to 5 PM.
If the challenge is accepted by the Board i.e. if the recorded response is not the same
as marked by the candidate on OMR sheet, the correction will be done and the fee shall be
refunded. In case, any registered candidate does not submit the challenge by the prescribed
date and time, it will be presumed that his/her recorded response is the same as marked on
OMR sheet.
The record of responses marked and the question paper of the candidates who
appeared in the computer based (online) examination of JEE (Main) – 2013 are also being
sent by E-mail on the mail–ids furnished by the candidates in their JEE (Main) – 2013 online
application form. Such candidates can also view their question paper alongwith responses
marked on the websites www.cbse.nic.in and www.jeemain.nic.in from 30/04/2013 to
02/05/2013. Since the recorded responses in computer are same as marked by the candidates,
so no challenge will be entertained from such candidates.

The 1st Joint Engineering Entrance Examination [JEE (Main)] is to be conducted in
pen & paper made on 7th April 2013. In computer mode, this examination is to be
conducted on 9, 22, 23 & 25th April 2013. The different sets of question papers are used
on the different dates of the examination. It is brought to the notice of all stakeholders
of this examination that the subject experts who have prepared these question papers
have certified that the entire syllabus of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry has been
covered in each question set by dividing the syllabus of each subject into appropriate
number of units and choosing equal number of questions from each unit. Further, in
every set, each subject carries the same percentage of easy, medium and difficult
questions. This ensures the same difficulty level of each set of question paper as per the
practice of the Board in the year 2012.

JEE MAIN 2013 DOCUMENT REQUIRED TOWARDS PROOF OF CLASS 12th/ QUALIFYING EXAMINATION
CBSE JEE MAIN required proof of Class 12th/ Qualifying Exam in JEE Main Exam 2013
As notified earlier all the registered candidates of JEE (Main) 2013 were informed to
submit/update their roll numbers of class 12th /qualifying examination before downloading the admit cards of JEE (Main) – 2013 from the website www.jeemain.nic.in. It has been observed that some of the candidates have committed mistakes while submitting their roll numbers.
It has, therefore, been decided to validate the information of class 12th / qualifying
examination roll numbers/Board/Year during the examination of JEE (Main) – 2013. (Pen & Paper as well as Computer Based Test). An authentication sheet will be given to candidate in the examination hall in which he/she has to verify the same.
The candidates are, hereby, advised to also bring with them a copy of document (as per
following applicable criteria) on the day of their JEE (Main) – 2013 and submit the same to the invigilator at the examination centre:-
Note: Candidate has to write Roll No. of JEE (Main) Examination on the copy of the document being submitted in support of class 12th/Qualifying examination.
